RVA is seeking a self-motivated Network Administrator to join our Sudbury office and to be an integral part of our IT team.
**Duties**:
- Upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain computer networks across multiple sites.
- Configure network hardware including servers, routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Provide support to resolve escalated help desk issues.
- Perform network security measures and monitor for threats.
- Manage file servers and scheduled back-ups.
- Deploy and update company-wide software.
- After hours network server maintenance.
**Qualifications**:
- College level program in an applicable computer science concentration
- 5-7 years experience supporting server and network systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting O365, AD, Windows Server and Desktop admin, Windows Support, Core networking.
- Nutanix, Watchguard, Trend Micro, Vectra not required but are an asset.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
- Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
- Some travel required. Access to a car is an asset.
