Based in **Sudbury**, the **Network/Security Administrator** will report to the IT Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on systems operations and maintenance, related IT projects deployment, and support. We are looking for a Network/Security Administrator who would be involved with identifying, predicting, and managing security threats to our internal networks. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the overall IT operations of TULLOCH.
**What You’ll Do**:
The Network/Security Administrator will be part of the IT Operations team with the primary focus of supporting TULLOCH infrastructure, employee access, and network performance across all departments. You will:
Network Administration:
- Perform the planning, development, and management of all Network services, programs, and support throughout the organization
- Administer and maintain the use of all networks as well as connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
- Provide internal and external Network support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance, etc.)
- Operate master consoles to manage and synchronize use of the networks and to monitor its performance
- Collaborate on Network-related undertakings, including clear capture of business requirements, provision of functional deliverables, milestone planning, and project post mortems
- Perform and assist with disaster recovery plan, testing, and operations
Security Administration:
- Identify security issues and develop protection plans
- Design and implement surety tools and services
- Lead and monitor security compliance efforts
- Create and administer risk assessment
- Research and evaluate new and changing security threats and technologies to facilitate pro-active recommendations
- Monitor and analyze the system; identify, investigate, and implement solutions
- Regulate system access, developing firewalls and testing processing systems to ensure security measures are in place
- Liaise and communicate with various departments to uncover and manage any possible security vulnerabilities
- Recognize and produce creative solutions to improve systems and security features
- Provide guidance and training to staff on security issues as needed

**Who You Are**:
- You have 5+ years experience as a network security professional with at least 2 years of practical threat and risk assessment experience
- Experience working in a Systems/Network and/or IT Securities role with a focus on monitoring the day-to-day of the IT infrastructure
- Technical knowledge of network protocols and standards such as:
- Ethernet, LACP, TCP/IP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, 802.1X, QoS, VoIP, RADIUS, LDAP, VRRP, HSRP, STP, IPSec/IKE, DNS, NTP, SNMPv3, SMTP, FTP, FTPS, SSH/SCP
- Strong experience in network security (i.e. firewalls and intrusion prevention systems)
- Strong knowledge of Mobility Controllers, Enterprise WIFI, and AP management
- Network policy management server experience
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching of multiple VLANs
- Hardware, software, and network analysis (i.e. Wireshark, NetFlow) and excellent problem-solving skills
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP certification or equivalent technical IT security and risk management certification(s) an asset
- Knowledge of malicious software techniques and defenses
- You are someone who makes decisions/exercises independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- You are able to pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired results
