The Production Manager will oversee all plant production, materials, equipment, and tools to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule for the assembly of a wide range of industrial blower and compressor packages. The Production Manager will directly oversee floor personnel to ensure work is properly delegated and executed, maintain the ability to prioritize projects, and ensure they remain on schedule. In addition, they will ensure safety problems that arise are addressed and all required paperwork is completed. They will ensure shop equipment is being tracked, maintained, and available as required, and assist with resolving assembly issues as required. The Production Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations and Project Managers in the planning and communication of daily plant activities.

**Essential Functions Statement**:
- Manage and supervise the production and warehouse material handling personnel.
- Lead the direction of production and assembly activities.
- Lead the planning and coordination of production jobs and projects.
- Maintain and updates manufacturing equipment information, including maintenance & repair logs.
- Participates in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
- Assist with the overall total cost estimate for the work to be performed: labor, material, and outside services.
- Manage the status of work control and backlog for work order submission to work order completion.
- Actively participate in scheduling meetings with operation partners to finalize priority of work orders, optimum downtime windows, and necessary lead times.
- Issue scheduled work orders with job plan packets.
- Communicate all health and safety concerns to employees and management.
- Make constructive suggestions pertaining to plant performance.
**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:
Competency Statement(s):
- Strong leadership experience and ability to coach and mentor others.
- High level of proficiency in English and French.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Advanced understanding of production processes and techniques.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma or similar program an asset.
- Previous experience with material and inventory management.
- Ability to create strong working relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to assist with detailed reports as well as good verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret customer blueprints and drawings.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability.
- Self-directed, results orientated and able to work under tight deadlines.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Post-secondary study in Engineering or Operations Management, or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
- 5-10 years’ experience in capital equipment manufacturing business
- 3-5 of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
