Purchasing and inventory of groceries and household supplies.

Daily preparation of nutritious meals and snacks to serve 85 children enrolled in the Center. (2-5 years of age)

Deliver and collect lunch/snack trays to/from the rooms.

Complete clean up after each meal (i.e. dishes, countertops, etc.)

Participation in special events as assigned by the Center Operator.

Works in consultation with the Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Meet with Health Inspector as required to ensure kitchen and practices are in compliance with Newfoundland and Labrador Health and Safety Standard.

Conduct housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain the kitchen is an organized, clean, safe, and hygienic condition at all times.

Attend staff/program meeting as required.

Establish and maintain open communication with parents regarding children's dietary restrictions, allergies, etc.

**Salary**: $15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- St. John'S, NL A1A 4Y3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
