The Terminal Manager is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations with the highest-level priority on providing exceptional training and development to their team members with an uncompromising commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

**About the position**:

- Analyzing data to predict staffing requirements, liaise with Human Resources to ensure recruitment needs are fulfilled.
- Responsible for the overall supervision, hiring, retention, training, and development of all staff within the Terminal.
- Employee relations, such as dispute resolution, corrective action, and communications.
- Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day safety and operation of the Terminal.
- Providing support and direction to the Driver Services team to ensure our safety culture is maintained and processes and policies followed.
- Ensuring compliance with Federal Regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Working closely with the dispatch team to ensure a superior level of service is provided to all internal and external customers.
- Facilitating the effective utilization of people and equipment.
- Preparing terminal huddles, weekly performance call, monthly asset planner, annual budgets, analyze monthly financial statements, and monitor terminal profitability.
- Ensuring customer requests are responded to in a timely manner, including preparation of required information for meetings and planning sessions.
- Conducting site visits for customer service reviews and service level validation - resolve differences as required.
- Realizing effective communication of available resources to other regional dispatch centers and developing a strong working relationship to ensure effective execution of customer service requirements.
- Working closely with Fleet Services to ensure that all equipment that requires repair/maintenance is made available and aligned with maintenance budget.
- Administering other duties as required.

**Education and experience**:

- Post-secondary education, or experience to supplement, with a concentration in administration, safety, logistics or transportation; other related training would be an asset.
- Several years of diverse experience with leadership responsibilities in the transportation industry required, with specific exposure to fuel and bulk commodities hauling.
- Experience with Windows-based programs; TMW experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck maintenance and repairs an asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic, and confident with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- A solid business presence complimented by personal drive, resourcefulness, maturity, integrity, honesty, and sound business judgment.
