Overview:
We are a AA U13 Rep basketball team based in North York/Vaughan seeking a dedicated, dependable and knowledgeable Basketball Coach to join our team. As a Basketball Coach, you will be responsible for training and developing basketball players of all skill levels.

**This is a paid position, and we are committed to providing a positive and supportive environment for both our coaches and players.**

The new coach will begin coaching duties in mid-August, but will do a handful of training sessions before then. The coaching schedule will be:
1 - 2 hour training session per week

1 - 1.5 hour training session per week

1 to 2 - games per week

Pay is $35/hr.

The team will be playing OBL and also Coalition.

**Duties**:

- Plan and conduct basketball practices, drills, and training sessions
- Develop and implement effective strategies and game plans
- Teach fundamental basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players
- Organize and supervise team practices, scrimmages, and games
- Motivate and inspire players to reach their full potential
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline among players
- Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to enhance the overall basketball program

**Skills**:

- **Must have OBL coaching certifications**:

- Previous coaching experience at the high school or college level preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate players
- Ability to assess player performance and provide constructive feedback
- Passion for the game of basketball and a desire to educate and inspire young athletes
- Ability to swim (in case of any water-based training or activities)
- Strong organizational skills to plan practices and manage team schedules

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
