**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for an experienced **Steel Detailing Coordinator** to oversee the detailing and completion of large-scale projects. You must be a multi-tasker with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills and can effectively manage a team of detailing to finish their work efficiently and within deadlines. At the start of each project, you will collaborate with other departments to discuss the scope and budget. You will then monitor each phase, ensuring the detailing team works efficiently and that the final product meets our client's expectations. In a broader sense, you will provide leadership to the Niik team to deliver unprecedented business results for Niik and the clients.
- Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, architects, and detailing team to meet project requirements
- Manage RFIs and Change Orders
- Prepare shop drawing packages and transmittals and issue them to the client per the schedule
- Work directly with the PM and Engineering team
- Determine project roles, responsibilities, and deadlines for each team member
- Make sure that the project is being completed effectively, on time and within budget
- Coordinate changes and be willing to adapt if necessary
- Keep teams committed, motivated, and productive throughout the project
- Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects
- Defines detailing scope, deliverables and requirements in collaboration with clients

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years of experience in project management and coordination with a steel fabrication knowledge
- Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures
- 5+ years experience as a Steel Detailer
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and the ability to read drawings
- Proven project management and coordination skills
- Self-motivated and able to complete multiple tasks and projects with mínimal guidance
- Deadline-driven with an attention to detail
- Extensive experience managing in a cross-functional team environment, ability to lead and inspire
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
- Ability to think ahead proactively, with a high degree of attention to detail
- Fast processor of information, energetic, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Understanding the steel fabrication process, steel grades, fastener grades, connection requirements, coating types, fabrication procedures, and installation requirements
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy and use of MS Office programs
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet client project commitments
