Transportation Pricing Analyst

**Job Summary**: The Transportation Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining pricing models, analyzing transportation costs, and ensuring competitive and profitable pricing strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation pricing and support business growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Pricing Analysis and Strategy**:

- Develop and maintain transportation pricing models for multiple shipping modes (e.g., truckload, less-than-truckload, air and ocean freight).
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and cost data to recommend pricing strategies that maximize profitability and market share.
- **Cost Analysis**:

- Evaluate transportation costs, fuel surcharges, and accessorial charges to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- **Data Management and Reporting**:

- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to support pricing decisions.
- Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate pricing performance and insights to management
- **Cost Auditing**:

- Able to audit large scale data sets to extract potential extra charges that require challenging
- Following with respective providers to ensure the incorrectly billed amounts have been successfully credited/ adjusted
- **Margin Maintenance**:

- Enacting measures to ensure health spread between buy and sell rates inclusive of accessorial and other charges
- Determining the impact to company financial of key pricing decisions and make recommendations on way to maintain/ improve those yields
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with business goals
- Partner with carriers and vendors to negotiate rates and contracts
- **Compliance and Process Improvement**:

- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to transportation pricing
- Continuously review and improve pricing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in pricing, transportation, logistics, or a related field
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and industry standards is a plus

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Finance: 3 years (preferred)
