Accounting Manager, Solar

In this position, you would be responsible for the organization and management of the daily and ongoing financial functions of the Skyline Clean Energy Fund - Solar Portfolio (the “SCEF Solar Portfolio”) and its subsidiaries, including monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting cycles as well as the establishment of best practices while supporting Skyline’s shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people and our communities.

**What you will be doing**:

- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions for the SCEF Solar Portfolio.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary.
- Coordinate and prepare financial statements.
- Assist with cash management function, including cash flow analysis and bank reconciliation review and approval, where necessary.
- Assist the Divisional Controller with the annual budget process.
- Coordinate year end, income tax filing, and other activities with external auditors.
- Coordinate government remittances, related to HST, corporate taxes, associated payroll remittances, etc.
- Distribute workload (allocation of properties and special tasks) among staff to maintain efficiencies and balance workload in the accounting department.

- Ability to handle a large workload with a sense of humour. If you know Accounting, you know that obstacles are always around the corner and so you've learned to handle challenges with a smile on your face.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting software (i.e. Simply, Accpac, Quick books, Yardi, etc.)
- Degree in Accounting or related field with at least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
- CGA or CMA or working towards a designation an asset.
