**Job Summary**

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and efficient Front-of-House Team Member to join our dynamic Edo Japan restaurant team. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for all guests.

**Key Responsibilities / Duties Customer Service & Front-of-House Operations**
- Greet, seat, and assist guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately for dine-in and takeout
- Provide menu knowledge and upsell items to enhance guest experience and sales
- Handle customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure a positive, welcoming atmosphere at all times

**Cash Handling & Transactions**
- Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately
- Balance speed and accuracy during high-volume periods
- Follow company cash-handling policies and procedures

**Cross-Training: Kitchen & Sushi Support**
- Willingness to learn and work as a cook and sushi team member
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and sushi assembly as trained
- Support kitchen staff during peak periods
- Follow Edo Japan recipes, portion control, and preparation standards

**Cleanliness, Sanitation & Food Safety**
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, lobby, and service stations
- Clean and sanitize washrooms according to schedules and standards
- Complete opening, closing, and ongoing cleaning checklists
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and cross-contamination procedures
- Ensure compliance with NS Health Services and Edo Japan food safety standards

**Operational Support**
- Assist with food handling and serving to ensure timely order delivery
- Manage time efficiently while multitasking during busy shifts
- Maintain proper uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards
- Participate in training and ongoing skill development

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a fast-food or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for order totaling and cash handling
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation
- Effective time management during high-volume periods
- Experience upselling menu items is an asset
- Kitchen or food-industry experience is advantageous/preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Compensation & What We Offer**
- Competitive hourly wage**:$17.00 - $25.00/hour**:
