**What will you do?**
- Perform installations, verifications, inspections and repairs on fire alarm systems
- Perform maintenance and diagnostics on systems and components according to the warranty period
- Work with other internal employees or external service providers or vendors to complete interface testing or resolve system issues
- Identify additional opportunities including time and material work, system extensions; upgrade and service contact expansions
- Complete repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments and calibration on systems and components in a fire alarm system
- Participate in job site AHJ/Engineer testing
- Represent the Company at customer premises in a professional manner at all times and establish a good working relationship with all customers
- Complete and submit testing documentation in a timely manner
- Ensure that all site files are kept up to date for each project
- Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times
- Ensure all damaged or faulty equipment is immediately returned to the warehouse with the appropriate documentation
- Complete appropriate company documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure that all test equipment and tools issued by the Company are maintained in good condition, kept secure and tested
- Attend personal training programs; Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
- Participate in the Installation to Service handovers on assigned jobs
- Required to participate in the 24hr on-call rotation

**What will you need to succeed?**
- Minimum College Education in Electronics
- 1+ year experience in programming, servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems
- Valid CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) certification or working toward
- Proven diagnostic skills - able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems
- Customer focused and good customer relationship building and management skills
- Self-motivated and calm under pressure
- Good working knowledge of IT and network infrastructure
- Good understanding of Building codes, Fire codes and ULC Standards
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Valid driver’s license in good standing

**Nice to Have / Asset**:

- Perform installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, etc.
- Experience with Siemens Fire Alarm systems
