Caregiver/Companion

Part-Time, Mon - Fri, 2-6pm

Wages: Hourly $25

Looking for a companion to provide social support to a male patient who has an acquired traumatic brain injury from a car accident.

**Responsibilities**:

- Friendly conversation and companionship, playing games, practicing math, reading, writing
- Accompany social outings such as going for coffee, grocery store, cinema
- Accompany patient on outings and appointments such as Physio & Massage
- Assist patient with physical activities: walks, stairs, and stretching

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation (own vehicle)
- Must have recent Vulnerable Sector & Criminal Record Check or be willing to obtain within 48 hours
- Must be physically strong to help patient back up if they fall down
- Must be comfortable being around people and in new social situations
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
