I am a recently turned 40-year-old male with a form of Muscular Dystrophy and I am seeking someone that can assist me in my home with personal/companion care. I am currently in NW Calgary but will be relocating to south Airdrie in mid-August. I am an easy-going individual so you will be greeted with a stress-free working environment.

I'm currently looking for two individuals to work Thursday-Sunday ~730AM - 1130AM AND Monday - Wednesday ~730AM - 230PM but further hours are available if I find the right individual and we work well together.

Job Responsibilities:
Full assistance with transfers (using a ceiling lift), toileting, washing, dressing, grooming, and light meal preparation/feeding. There will also be some light housekeeping. I would also like someone that is willing to go out in the community with me to run errands etc.

Desired Qualifications:
I'm looking for someone that possesses a down-to-earth attitude while exhibiting compassion and attentiveness. Reliability and dependability are crucial to this position.

My care requirements can be physically demanding at times, so please take that into consideration before applying.

Previous experience/training is a plus but certainly not a requirement. Training can be provided to the right individual. I would take a positive attitude and a willingness to learn over experience any day of the week.

A class 5 driver's license and a willingness to drive my personal vehicle is a tremendous asset but not a requirement, as well.

Applicant requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.

Must reside in the Calgary area as lodging is not available.

Must be willing to provide a background check.

Hours and wage:
At the present time, I am looking for assistance Thursday-Sunday ~730AM - 1130AM AND Monday - Wednesday ~730AM - 230PM with the possibility of longer shifts depending on scheduling and how well we get on.

Wage is $20/hour to start.
