The Apex location in Nisku, Alberta has an immediate opportunity for an **Item Master Analyst **to join the Procurement team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a high degree of industry product knowledge. This position will control the internal part number/inventory sku database and will be based out of the Nisku Distribution Center reporting to the Procurement Development Manager.

The Apex Distribution Nisku location is an 85,000 square foot facility that houses the Central Warehouse, the Nisku Distribution branch as well as Nisku Valve Service location.

Responsibilities will include:

- Item master creation, maintenance, data entry and reporting.
- Analyze, cleanse and enrich master data elements and objectives; striving for continuous improvement
- Standardize data formats, ensuring integrity and consistency of item master to allow ease of downstream reporting
- Review requests for completeness and accuracy. Identifying needs for new and/or updated skus by analyzing field procurement practices
- Provide support to branches on daily inventory related tasks; collaborating with key members to establish process improvement initiatives which impact supply chain transparency
- Troubleshoot issues, inconsistencies, obsolete and duplicated skus; review creation process to identify opportunities for improving data management
- Maintaining and setting internal sku values and updating vendor pricing contracts. Supporting profitability maximization with A to I and consolidated procurement
- Maintain and assist in the ongoing reporting of stale and ‘Z’ materials.
- Cross-train with the other member of the procurement development team to ensure adequate backup for all areas
- Undertake special projects as may be required or assigned

Qualifications:

- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with master data is preferred
- Data extraction, collection and manipulation experience
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision
- Industry product knowledge a must
