**Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-HOSPITAL** **Status: Full Time** **Department: Balmoral Centre** **Site: Sister Margaret Smith Centre** **Shifts: Days/Evenings/Nights inclduing Weekends** **Rate of Pay: $24.09 - $24.63** **per hour** Balmoral Centre provides medically monitored withdrawal management services. Working as part of the interdisciplinary team, the Addiction Crisis Worker provides support and care to clients during withdrawal and stabilization in a residential setting. This position is focussing on supporting the addiction bed implementation pilot. **Qualifications**: - Minimum two (2) years post secondary education in a Human Services field (eg. addictions, social work, psychology) and/or a combination of addictions training and previous working experience in an addiction field - Previous experience in Behaviour Management - Valid CPR and First Aid certification - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience with computer-based data entry is an asset - Ability to work flexible hours is required - Class "G" driver's licence and adequate insurance - Demonstrated regular attendance at work **CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT** - This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions. **_St. Joseph's Care Group is committed to providing high quality client-centred care by building a respectful and inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse population it serves.
