**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, Withdrawal Management Program, the Addiction Crisis Worker (ACW) is responsible for the physical well-being of the clients and environment involved in the withdrawal management program. Key responsibilities include admitting and assessing individuals suffering from substance abuse; safely managing withdrawal and/or safely sobering from substance use and their safe exit after, providing support, service planning and stabilization; performing all routine duties in maintaining a withdrawal management program.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
Education/Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years post secondary education in a Human Services field (eg. addictions social work psychology) and/or a combination of addictions training and previous working experience in an addiction field
- Previous experience in behaviour management
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of addiction issues, crisis management and conflict resolution skills
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Asset:
- Experience with computer based data entry is an asset
Conditions of Employment:
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory **Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)**where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours as required
- Valid Ontario driver's license: Class G
