Maintenance Technician

**Duties**:

- Assist in performing necessary and scheduled maintenance in a timely manner
- Assists in the maintenance and minor repairs to heating, ventilation systems, air conditioning systems and equipment
- Assists with general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves and landscaping
- Prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Assists with performing routine inspections of properties to check maintenance problems
- Performs grounds related functions as may be required for the purpose of preserving grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition.
- May be assigned to work at other company properties / locations
- Any other duties as requested by management.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, diagnostics.
- Knowledge of standard practices and procedures of construction trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical systems a great asset
- Experience in performing general building maintenance
- Able to follow verbal and written instruction
- Certified in operation of forklift an asset
- Strong Mechanical aptitude and general understating of functions and operations of fabrication equipment.
- Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
