**Job Duties**:
- Analyze problems and make recommendations as to root causes and corrective actions
- Greet customers and discuss type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services required
- Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding the status of orders and any payment or refund errors in a timely manner
- Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Consult with customers after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
- Maintain a high level of customer service
- Work collaboratively with delivery drivers, establish a delivery schedule to accommodate customer requirements while maximizing Tarpin’s fleet potential
- Estimate or quote prices and delivery dates
- Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales Representatives
- Relay customer quality improvement suggestions for company products and services
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
- Enter order from clients in multiple formats and ensure order accuracy
**Job Requirements**:
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Ability to quickly learn new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
- Ability to deal with people diplomatically, and professionally, at all times
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Demonstrated time management skills
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Experience working in Yard /Lumber Mill environment considered an asset
- Minimum 2-5 years of Customer Service/Order Desk Experience
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Occasional overtime
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
