Overall knowledge of human resources function, practices and procedures, particularly as related to talent acquisition.

**Accountabilities**:
**1. Talent Attraction**:
- Coordinate/support any/all aspects of the talent acquisition process/life cycle from end to end;
- Be a McMaster brand ambassador and represent McMaster as a preferred place to work through recruitment activities;
- Post and manage postings on internal & external job boards;

**4. Talent Analysis, Reporting and System Champion**:
- Work within the HRIS and applicant tracking system to ensure that we are maximizing system capability for effective recruitments;
- Compiles reports of recruitment activities to identify metrics for analysis and trending purposes;
- Through all acquisition and onboarding activities, encourages compliance with the provisions of the employment equity policy and programs.
**5. Other Administration**
- Provide other employment-related administrative support as required i.e. standardized and customized reporting, data and compliance tracking and reconciliation, HRIS entry, facilitating onboarding processes, routine training of HR-related processes, and resolution of issues within scope of role
**Qualifications**:
- Strong communication, decision making skills and possesses good judgement.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and public speaking skills.
- Sound knowledge of talent acquisition and onboarding practices
- Knowledge of general human resource practices, policies and trends, knowledge of current employment legislation e.g. Employment Equity
- An appreciation of the University environment, its diversity and an ability to relate well to staff, students and faculty.
- Experience in supporting the design and delivery of programs in the areas of recruitment that enables diversity and employment equity.
- High level of competency in qualitative data analysis and management is required. Ability to conduct research and effectively write quantitative and qualitative reports on matters that have an adverse or systemic impact on the university community on employment equity issues.
- Ability to work within the organizational structure and decision-making process at the University.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other individuals and groups, including equity-seeking groups, that work in complementary areas and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated analytical, interpretive and problem solving-skills; ability to synthesize information from a wide variety of sources.
- Broad knowledge of institutional structures, policy, regulations and administrative systems in University or equivalent context.
- High degree of political acuity and judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of employment equity data and resources and how to best utilize them.
