Mechanical Assembler, Day Shift

**COMPENSATION**
- **Hourly Rate: $16-$17 commensurate with experience and education**:

- **Will be paid 40 hours normal regular pay per work week regardless of worked shift (D/A/N)**:

- **Regular Shift Time Worked (Days/Afternoons) - 8.5 hours with 30 min unpaid meal break + 30 min paid meal break (1 hour in total time off during shift)**

**SUMMARY**

Maintain the flow of product through the manual assembly processes of the production. This position reports to the Production Supervisor/Manager.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Maintain the flow of product through the Final Assembly & Integration processes production
- Identify and resolve Process / Equipment / Tools requirements with the Production Supervisor
- Align, fit and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates
- Install electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand soldering and hand tools
- Use precision measuring tools or equipment
- Move products to final QC or the next step in accordance with the priorities set by the Supervisor
- Verify board assembly prior to wave with the BOM, customer specs and View Station
- To make sure first off for mechanical is being done completely
- Ensure all the problems found during the first off inspection have been highlighted to the Supervisor and continue only after the manufacturing engineer has looked at it already
- Raise issues/concerns with parts, orientation and any other challenges - obtain details and confirm with Supervisor that relevant details have been added to the View Station prior to running the future jobs
- Verify all processes are performed to the documentation
- Make sure housekeeping is being done at all stations and is maintained at all times
- Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through the system, read instructions in the training aid for any quires
- Always scan board using View Station
- Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Production Supervisor
- Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines
- Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production
- Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects
- Perform other duties as required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole components, drawings and BOMS
- Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control
- Electro-mechanical knowledge
- Experienced in Box assembly as well as test
- Able to lift at least 30Ibs
- Good work habits and housekeeping.
- Police Background Check is required
- IPC Standards and ISO 9002
- Mechanical Assembler experience

**LOCATION**
- The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A and/or Building B)
- Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate

**WORK HOURS**
- Normal scheduled hours of work: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Day Shift
