The Controller will play an integral role in supporting the various units of the organization as well as providing leadership, strategic direction, and information in achieving corporate objectives. This position involves supervision over general accounting, receivables, payables and payroll.

**Key Job Duties**
- Directing and overseeing the financial statement preparation and analysis including consolidations, of monthly reporting packages to senior management
- Overseeing the annual preparation of budget and forecasts
- Supervises the maintenance of company accounting records;
- Responsible for cash flow as well as credit cards.
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial interim statements
- Responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ability to prepare complex pro-formas and spreadsheets
- Recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performances of divisions and departments
- Supervision, training and development of accounting and finance staff

**Qualifications**
- An accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) with 5 plus years of experience working in senior accounting role in a small to medium corporate environment, preferable in construction.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Business Administration Diploma preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years bookkeeping experience.
- Sage 100 Contractor + Sage Paperless
- Project Management Software - Procore
- Strict attention to detail in technical specifications and written communication
- Communication - Excellent written and oral communication skills at all organizational levels
- Problem solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information effectively
- Analytical skills - Advanced real estate, financial and project management analysis skills
- Organizational Skills - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
