Norellco Contractors is an Edmonton-based company servicing heavy construction from small to large projects. Our main projects consist of roadbuilding, grading, and water and sewer installations/repairs.

Norellco Contractors is looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Safely move heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, dozers, graders) with up to 40 wheel combinations.
- Experienced with oversized loads.
- Safely haul materials to and from work sites.
- Communicate with supervisor, superintendents and foremen to confirm and deliver equipment and materials.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections of vehicle systems, and complete related documentation.
- Record required information in logbook or with ELD.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Must comply with safety and transportation industry standards.
- Must ensure an understanding of, and comply with the company’s Health and Safety program, including safe work practices and procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned and adapt to changing priorities.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License, and a good Commercial abstract.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the loading/unloading, securing and transporting a variety of heavy mobile equipment.
- Cargo Securement and Provincial Hours of Service training certifications are an asset.
- Experience operating heavy equipment in very tight spaces.
- Knowledge of the City of Edmonton and surrounding area.
- Knowledge of City of Edmonton Specifications.
- Knowledge of road construction.
- Communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Analysis and problem solving skills.

**Requirements**:

- Own reliable transportation.
- Use of personal protective equipment is required.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends and overtime when necessary (8-12 hour shifts, 5-6 days per week).
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- Work environment is outdoors, and in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wind, rain, dust).

**Salary**: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
