**Equity Research Associate Intern**

**How does the role impact the organization?**

The Equity Capital Markets division, a team of analysts covering approximately 250 companies, has a solid commitment to investment research, investment banking, and institutional sales and trading. The Intern will play a critical role assisting in all tasks required for the Equity Research Analyst to stay abreast of market events with the end-goal of providing sound investment judgement on particular stocks to clients.

**What will your role be responsible for?**
- Work with the Equity Research Analysts in conducting thorough analysis of various industries; and
- Involvement in conducting due diligence including analyzing industry and company data and developing and maintaining financial models.

**What do we expect from you?**

**_ To qualify for this opportunity you possess:_**
- Knowledge of fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry and investment banking;
- Familiar with accounting and financial analysis principles;
- Previous experience with Bloomberg Concepts/Terminal, Eikon, and Capital IQ;
- Financial modelling experience is an asset;
- Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;
- Quickly grasp new concepts;
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment;
- Work long hours when necessary to meet time-sensitive deadlines;
- Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information; and
- Communicate proficiently in French is an asset.

**Educational/Previous Experience Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution as a third
- or fourth-year student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred.
