**How does the role impact the organization?**

The Equity Capital Markets division, a team of analysts covering approximately 250 companies, has a solid commitment to investment research, investment banking, and institutional sales and trading. The Intern will play a critical role assisting in all tasks required for the Equity Research Analyst to stay abreast of market events with the end-goal of providing sound investment judgement on particular stocks to clients.

**What will your role be responsible for?**
- Work with the Equity Analysts in conducting thorough analysis of several industry; and
- Involvement in conducting due diligence including analyzing industry and company data and developing and maintaining financial models.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

**Knowledge of**
- Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry and investment banking; and
- Accounting and financial analysis principles.

**Skill in**
- Financial modelling

**Ability to**
- Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;
- Quickly grasp new concepts;
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment;
- Work long hours when necessary to meet time-sensitive deadlines;
- Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information; and
- Communicate proficiently in French is an asset.

**Educational/Previous Experience Requirements**
- A postgraduate degree in Accounting coupled with a postgraduate degree in Business or Economics preferred; and
- Experience in capital markets and/or research industry preferred.
- CFA certification an asset

**Salary Range**: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $22-$24 an hour in addition to competitive bonus and incentives.
