**About the Organization**
- The Department of Family Medicine (DFM) Primary Care Research Unit focuses on projects strategically responsive to developing Primary Care in Nova Scotia including clinical, health services/policy and medical education issues. BRIC NS, a network embedded within the DFM builds capacity and momentum addressing vital questions to peoples health.

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Developing a focused research question(s).
- Writing of proposals (research design, methodology, data analysis, interpretation, etc.).
- Navigating elements pertaining to qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.
- Data collection, entry, analysis, and storage.
- Undertaking knowledge translation activities including preparing presentations, reports, abstracts, journal articles for publication, and social media.

**Note**
- The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in a health-related field with minimum five years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods of research and data analysis
- Experience conducting interviews, facilitating focus groups, and developing and administering surveys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency using NVivo, and SPSS.

**Assets**
- Family medicine, primary health care, health policy, and medical education research.
- Experience working with individuals and teams.
- Experience with patient engagement.
- Experience working with clinicians, learners, patient partners, with limited to no research experience.
