Accounting Technician/bookkeeper

We are a well-established CPA firm, we are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistance/ Bookkeeper. An excellent multi-tasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. you should understand basic accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, you must be trustworthy, efficient and organized.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Maintain the accounting records to date
- GST/QST reports / returns
- Produce financial reports
- Manage employee payroll for various customers
- Produce payroll Sources Deduction reports (DAS), ROE, T4, RL1
- Reconcile bank / Credit Card statements
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Perform various office duties
REQUIREMENTS - Qualifications:
- 100% Bilingual in English and French (specifically spoken)
- DEP or DEC in accounting / Administration
- Minimum 5 year experience in accounting
- Accounting degree (Working towards) is an asset
- Computer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Sage 50 accounting, DT Max, Caseware, Tax Prep
- Excellent organizational and communication skills,, quick learner, autonomous, focus and exceptional attention to details
- Demonstrate independence, initiative, professionalism, and teamwork
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
The position is from Monday to Friday 40 hrs a week, possible weekends during tax season
Salary varies by experience
