The **Boom Truck Operator** role operates a specialized vehicle with a crane, lifting, moving, and positioning materials and equipment on construction sites or other locations. They are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the boom truck, adhering to safety regulations and company procedures.
- **Articulate & Knuckle (0-8 ton license required)**_

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Operate the boom truck, maneuvering it, and operating the crane to lift and move materials
- Prepare time sheets, tickets, etc., as required ensuring they are complete and accurate prior to submission to supervisor.
- Ensure materials are properly loaded onto and off the truck, considering weight distribution and safety
- Follow all safety protocols, inspecting the truck and crane before and after each use, and ensuring a safe working environment
- Work with clients, supervisors, and other workers to coordinate lifts and ensure smooth operations
- Maintain records of deliveries, inspections and any discrepancies
- Maintain a logbook containing a permanent record of all inspections of, tests of, repairs to, modifications to and maintenance of the hoisting device in compliance with O. Reg. 213/91, s.152, and O. Reg. 213/91, S.152(3)
- Fuel equipment and perform minor service as necessary and skilled
- Performs hands-on tasks of assisting in the stripping of wall form panels when the boom arrives to site, the forms are not completely stripped and the wall formers require assistance. Place cages in strategic locations withing the job site
- Other duties as assigned

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Drive in a safe and courteous manner, obeying traffic laws, scale house and MTO inspection requirements
- Must be insurable with clean driver’s abstract
- Mechanical knowledge an asset
- Reliable, dependable and punctual

**Education and Experience**:

- OSSD or equivalent
- 2-3 years experience in operating a Boom Truck - both articulate and knuckle
- 0-8 Mobile Crane licensed
- Valid Working at Heights certification
- Valid DZ Ontario driver’s license (AZ preferred) with a clean abstract

- Must have the full physical ability to easily enter/exit the cab multiple times throughout the day
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Dexterity to operate controls
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
