What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Director, Audit Learning & Development, you will be responsible for coordinating, designing, developing, delivering and monitoring technical training content for the Internal Audit team in collaboration with the Professional Practices Centre team members and audit team experts.
- At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._
How you’ll succeed-
- Coordination and Monitoring of Training - Coordinate office training and education, including new hire training, with scheduling, set-up, organizing training materials, facilitators, monitoring attendance, etc. Monitor mandatory training completion and complete monthly and quarterly training reporting requirements. Monitor training time sheet completion on a monthly basis. Coordinate monthly Internal Audit Learning Council meetings.- Administration and Recruitment - Support the administration of the CIBC CPA Pre-approved Rotational Program, including, but not limited to, recruitment activities for future cohorts and CFE-related support. Execute additional duties as assigned.
Who you are- You can demonstrate 4 years’ experience that includes 1 or more of the following: Experience in a learning and development department, or with delivering training or working on topics around risk assessment, internal controls, audit procedures, internal audit standards. It’s an asset to have experience in the financial services industry, internal or external audit.- You have a degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Adult Education or equivalent education and experience.- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- understanding how to deliver complex concepts to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge.- You have strong computer and data analysis skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and excellent project management skills. You have proven ability to successfully manage timelines, multiple projects, milestones, and critical paths. You also have the ability to think conceptually, synthesize information and implement solutions exercising flexibility and sound judgment.- You’re a learning professional and have experience providing synchronous or asynchronous teaching or training for others (e.g. classroom teaching, creating ‘how to’ videos or documents, delivering training presentations to colleagues), and producing creative, visual or interactive teaching/training resources in a professional context.- It’s an asset if you are proficient in learning technology Articulate360, Camtasia and/or Vyond.- You embrace and champion change. You will continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work to deliver your best and more importantly get the best out of your colleagues and internal partners.- You're passionate about people.
