**About us**

**Disposal King** is a locally owned and operated company that specializes in providing trucking services for customers all over the city and Cache Creek/Kamloops. We provide purposeful work by partnering with companies that are proud of their commitment to their customers and that want to provide them with the best service possible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in town and out of town with some overnight trips
- Drive a heavy truck.
- Operate heavy equipment, including end dump & demo trailers
- Safely and efficiently transport heavy equipment, materials, good to designated locations
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents or delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck to ensure its safety and functionality
- Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors regarding any issues or changes

**Successful applicants MUST**:

- Hold a valid class 1 driver’s commercial license
- Clean drivers abstract
- Mountain driving experience
- Safety first attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills & effective communications with dispatchers, supervisors and customers
- Physically able to climb in and out of the truck and unload materials as needed
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Be a team player
- Great customer service skills

**Skills considered an asset (not required)**:

- Able to drive a manual transmission
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators and dump trucks
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- In depth knowledge of the Lower Mainland
