We are currently looking for a Class 1 Driver to join our Donald's Fine Foods team based out of our location in Richmond (Mitchell Island), BC.

**Brief Job Description**

The Union Class 1 Driver is responsible for the successful completion of daily deliveries and other daily driver requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Safely operates a Class 1 vehicle equipped with air brake systems, ensures adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and Company Policies.
- Transports goods and materials to designated locations as scheduled, secures and unloads cargo safely.
- Performs routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checks the air brake system, tires, lights, brakes, and other components to ensure they are in proper working order, immediately reports any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Interacts with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensures timely and accurate delivery, addresses any inquiries or concerns, and represents the Company positively.
- Maintains effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status, potential delays, or any issues encountered on the road immediately.
- Other driver-related tasks as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s license
- A clean driving abstract.
- Able to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgement, decision-making skills.
- Delivery experience is an asset.

**Working Conditions**
- Regular working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week from 3:00 pm-11:30pm, overtime may be required based on business needs.
- Availability to work on Saturdays and shift work, pending operational requirements.
- Breaks: 2 x 30-minute breaks, per the current CBA.

Pay: $28.11 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (required)
