About the role

As our Quality Manager, you will Coordinate all quality activities supporting product development and manufacturing, as well as distribution operations in collaboration with external partners to ensure Vectura Fertin Pharma Cannabinoid and Consumer Health products are developed, manufactured, and distributed in accordance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements and VecFer requirements.

In this role you will be responsible for the operational management of all quality activities with our CDMOs based in Canada and North America, including:

- providing quality support to the supply of commercial products, identifying and escalating business critical risks impacting supply and/or timelines with related mitigations and/or possible solutions.
- Monitoring CDMO performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Developing and driving key performance indicators to determine CDMO performance, identify areas for improvement, best practices and quality improvement and initiate and perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
- Coordinating and supporting business review meetings with CDMOs.
- Managing complaints, deviations and investigations related to marketed batches, including internal reporting, root cause analysis and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Performing qualification and regular audits of CDMO (Product-Specific and Quality System) and follow up on closure of any non-conformances, support supplier approval process and maintenance of the Approved Suppliers List.
- Managing and evaluation of the change controls requested by our CDMO(s) and surveillance of their implementation.
- Travel to be on site as required to CDMOs for assistance in overseeing operations and/or critical business activities.

About you:
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a life science discipline.
- A demonstrable number of years’ experience in a Quality function in a Pharmaceutical or Healthcare environment.
- Proven ability to proactively identify and drive continuous improvement.
- Experienced in leading internal and external audits.
- Experience with Medical Cannabis, botanical medicines, or other natural health products would be desirable
