Job Description: Journeyman Carpenter

Wage: $32/h-$38/h (depending on experience)

A Few Good Lads is the leading provider for on demand labour in Canada. Simply put, we supply workers to construction companies (big & small) across British Columbia and Ontario. **Job Summary**:
The job will entail working in diverse settings, in various environments in order to produce steady and functional structures and products. You will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. All applicants must be able to abide by the strict on site health and safety rules at all times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, including windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Install flooring, drywall, siding, and insulation.
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Follow safety regulations and building codes to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter or similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, methods, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
