**Human Resources Assistant**
The main focus in this role is recruitment with opportunity for further involvement of other HR functions.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Full-cycle recruitment activities, including conducting interviews, prepare new hire paperwork, conducting orientations for new hires, and adding new employees to the HRIS system
- Support with attendance management and Team Member Relations
- Maintain HR/Health and Safety Communication Boards
- Assist with monthly Team Spirit events and wellness initiatives
- Assist in the development, updates and implementation of policies, forms, and job descriptions
- Assist with continuous improvements to Hayashi Canada’s Training Program
- Support with administration of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Creating a culture of engagement through Human Resources initiatives
- Effectively communicating information internally and externally
- Administering presentations to Teams and Groups
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization with professionalism
- Support Human Resources Department with administrative tasks
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in business, human resources or a related field is an asset but not necessary.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred
- Proven ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint programs)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with excellent ‘soft skills’
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism is essential
- Interested in gaining some valuable HR experience in a fast-paced environment
