**Location**: Victoria, BC
**Schedule**: 40 hours/week
**Compensation**: $40,000 - $42,000 annual base salary
We are currently seeking a Building Manager for a rental portfolio totaling 63 units. The primary function of this position is to lead the day-to-day operations of a Tribe-managed building and be the face of the property.

Together we are the sixth largest strata/condo and rental management company in Canada with offices in downtown Vancouver, Delta, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops, Calgary and Cambridge. Our Tribe Management division specializes in strata and rental management services. We are responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of residential & mixed-use properties in our portfolio. Combining our obsession with technology and an unwavering passion for creating vibrant rental and strata communities, we provide community management with heart.
**Responsibilities**:
The position will be responsible for regular, preventative, and corrective maintenance and repair work in suites and common property. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Administrative work involved in the operation of the property, according to procedures and instructions set by the Property Manager,
- Book viewings of suites and interview potential tenants,
- Complete accurate detailed move in/out reports for each tenant,
- Collect, deposit, record, and report all rent payments,
- Maintain accurate files for each resident and suite,
- Schedule and supervise contractors,
- Attend to emergencies,
- Prepare detailed Incident Reports related to accidents, altercations, and damage to the property and/or other applicable incidents,
- Satisfy fire code requirements,
- Fixture installation (i.e., faucets, lights, etc.)
- Minor plumbing repairs (i.e., drain unclogging)
- Minor suite repairs such as basic carpentry, drywall patching, and painting
- Other duties as may be required occasionally.
**Qualifications**
- Self-motivated with the ability to take directions and work without supervision,
- Has a professional work ethic,
- Excellent customer service and communication skills,
- Good computer skills and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Possesses a valid driver's license and has access to a personal vehicle
- Ability to prioritize the work for best efficiency and results
- Knowledge and/or experience regarding basic electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
