**Summary**:
We are currently seeking an **Asset Management Specialist** to join our growing team Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role of the Asset Management Specialist will be to develop and share efficient processes which will support asset recovery techniques. The Asset Management Specialist will work closely with customers, landlords, bailiffs, and vendors to facilitate a successful process from recovery to liquidation.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Initiate communication with customers and/or landlords to locate assets
- Perform arrears recovery actions in a timely but empathetic and diplomatic manner
- Understand legality of contracts and appropriate escalation for securing assets
- Coordinate voluntary surrender, lockout scenarios and missing equipment
- Identify high-risk situations and appropriate mitigation process
- Hire local bailiffs and issue warrants to seize/collect and re-market
- Daily management of the Debtor’s Ledger report ensuring follow up of credit codes relevant to recoveries position
- Utilize good judgment and research skills in collection and liquidation of assets
- Have high understanding of equipment types and appropriate value
- Keep detailed account of asset status
- Regularly work with vendors to coordinate sale and payment for liquidated assets
- Various other tasks and projects as assigned

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- College/University or relevant experience
- Financial / Equipment Leasing knowledge or experience an asset
- Paralegal experience an asset

**Other Requirements**:

- A friendly, positive team player approach
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong phone manner with the ability to multitask.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Leasing/finance experience an asset
- Collection law knowledge an asset
- Intermediate skills using MS Office
- Self-starter and motivated
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of working with numbers
