Job Summary:
Mow Town is an award winning lawn care and snow removal company offering service throughout Edmonton. We want to be the best, which means having the best staff, equipment, vehicles, shop and even the best customers.

We have multiple spots open for a Snow Removal and Lawn Care Specialist to join our team. We have 2 spots open at our NE Edmonton location, and 2 spots open in our SW Edmonton location. Please let us know which location you would be interested in working at. As a Snow Removal and Lawn Care specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our client's properties. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength and stamina, the ability to operate walk behind and ride-on equipment safely, and most importantly: a positive attitude toward property maintenance and the team.

**Duties**:

- Perform regular snow removal tasks including shovelling, scraping and using walk behind machines
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in professional lawn care or snow removal is preferred
- Knowledge of snow removal techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with the safe operation of walk-behind equipment
- Can drive a pickup truck with a small trailer attached
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina to handle outdoor work in various weather conditions

Must Haves:

- Class 5 Drivers License
- No criminal record
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the shop each day. We typically start at 7AM during winter.
- Schedule flexibility - when it snows, we go. Employees can book time off, but other than that, we have to respond to snowfalls as fast as possible and need all staff for this.
- You are physically fit, can push or pull up to 60 lbs at a time, and can also be on your feet for up to 10 hours per day
- As this is an outdoor job, please consider that working outdoors can trigger allergies and asthma.
- Warm winter gear. We can provide some gear, but it's good to have lots of extra gear on hand, especially if you're sweating during the day and have to work again the following day.

Many snow removal companies only pay for your time when you're removing snow. We want you to be able to make a living wage. As such, we do offer a minimum guarantee of 120hrs of pay each month, plus we have an exciting partnership with a major roadside assistance company that allows employees to earn even if it isn't snowing. As a small operation, everyone pitches in to keep the shop, vehicles and equipment in tip top shape, which can help augment hours on the time sheet each month. In short: if you're eager for work, there's always something to be done at Mow Town.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50-$24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
