Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation is seeking a dynamic, donor-centric, fundraising professional to join the Foundation’s Strategy and Public Engagement team. Supervising the Senior Coordinator, Community Activation and reporting to the Senior Director, Community Fundraising, the **Manager, Community Activation** will be responsible for engaging donor communities through Holland Bloorview’s annual Capes for Kids campaign, employee giving, client family fundraising, and school fundraising.
The Manager, Community Activation is a member of Holland Bloorview’s communications and public engagement (CPE) team, which is comprised of both hospital and foundation colleagues. Working in collaboration, they build brand awareness, promote disability inclusion, and engage the community to support philanthropic giving to Holland Bloorview.
This role is hybrid in nature, with a combination of “work-from-home” and “on site as-needed” for in-person tours, events, team-building activities etc. This is a temporary 13-month contract, with a 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week) and an annual salary of $75,000. **Responsibilities**
- Capes for Kids _
- In partnership with the Director, Partnerships, co-lead the planning and execution of the annual Capes for Kids campaign, Holland Bloorview’s signature peer-to-peer fundraising event
- Responsible for recruiting and fundraising of general public segment, Holland Bloorview staff, schools, and Catalysts with the support of the Senior Coordinator, Community Activation
- Work in partnership with foundation and CPE colleagues to execute marketing, media relations, donor stewardship, events, and other plans
- Collaborate with the Coordinator, Community Engagement to execute Capes activities, including distribution of capes and other incentives
- Partner with Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to oversee data requirements
- Monitor performance against defined KPIs and industry benchmarks and provide analysis and suggestions for improvement
- Provide back-end oversight for Engaging Networks
- Community Fundraising _
- Lead strategy for employee (incl. students and volunteers), schools and client family giving
- Recruit and lead Catalysts (i.e. young professionals) in fundraising for Capes for Kids
- Planning and Administration_
- Coach and mentor Senior Coordinator, Community Activation
- Analyze program performance against defined KPIs and industry benchmarks, and make recommendations for future strategies
- Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s EdgeNXT and generate reports as needed
- Manage departmental budget
- Oversee departmental volunteers, vendors, and consultants
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices
- Other duties as assigned
**Job Requirements**
- 3-5 years of previous related experience in fundraising (required); relevant post-secondary education is an asset
- Demonstrated success in peer-to-peer fundraising events
