Part-time Bookkeeper

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper working on an independent contract basis.
The role is semi remote in Nanaimo, BC.
**Duties**
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure theaccuracy of financial statements.
- Review accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Assist in budgeting processes by tracking expenditures and forecasting future financial needs.
- Prepare payroll and ensure timely payment to employees while adhering to tax regulations.
- Address any discrepancies in accounts promptly and efficiently.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
