Nanaimo, Canada Cross and Company Full time

We are looking for a full-time bookkeeper to join our team and work one-on-one with our clients to provide full service bookkeeping services.

A list of duties would include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Preparing bank and other ledger reconciliations
- Preparing files for year-end preparation
- Bi-weekly payroll preparation for clients
- Monthly source deduction calculations for government remittances
- Preparation of T4’s
- Preparation of government filings including GST, PST and WorkSafe
- Providing assistance to clients learning to prepare bookkeeping
- Training future bookkeeping staff as well as clients
- Regular written and oral communication with clients
- Assisting administration as needed

A list of the prerequisites we require:

- Minimum one year experience with full fiscal year bookkeeping for one or more businesses.
- Proficient with Simply Accounting and/or QuickBooks software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word & Excel
- Experience with tax preparation software is an asset
- Confidence in your interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within deadlines
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to teach others in a positive manner
- Ability to work overtime during personal tax season
- Ability to work from home part time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
