Job Description:
As a Technical Program Mgr., you’ll work hand-in-hand with product development teams to drive the delivery of new products and infrastructure using industry best practices in program management and Agile methodologies. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage program schedules, identify/mitigate risks, and communicate progress. This role requires a technical background to deliver the overall program/project and to effectively partner with the Product Development team (design, product management, development, and QA.) This role also oversees both the monthly product development planning process portfolio process. For both processes, you will organize this cross-functional efforts, ensuring its efficient completion. You will obtain the necessary program/project input[s] (e.g., roadmaps, schedules, resource estimates), assess them, and work with ProdDev teams to make proposals regarding which efforts should be initiated, continued, or paused by the ProdDev organization. This position is for 8-12 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage product development programs and drive their on-time delivery against objectives.
- Identify dependencies, risks, impediments, and misaligned priorities/opportunities across the enterprise, and then guide teams through thoughtful resolution processes.
- Establish clear visibility into program plans and progress, across levels, disciplines, and BUs, to ensure transparency and alignment of enterprise-wide stakeholders.
- Improve processes, standardize tools, and establish robust documentation systems spanning the full product development lifecycle.
- Drive the operational execution of the ProdDev planning process while looking for opportunities for improvement.

- Assist product development teams in making critical resource planning/allocation decisions.
- Anticipate and track operational risks associated with the product development planning process.
- Conduct tradeoff analysis to make recommendations to ProdDev leadership on which programs/projects should be undertaken by the ProdDev organization.

- Strong knowledge of operations, project and program management methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches
- Thorough knowledge of modern software development principles and practices, especially Agile
- Strength in influencing decision-making and bringing teams to agreement
- Skill in managing and resolving ambiguity
- Ability to think both tactically and strategically
- Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues
- Ability to conduct tradeoff analysis and develop written and oral briefings explaining the outcome of those analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills that promote productive relationships
- Proven team player who embraces listening, straight talk, transparency, ownership, and accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, results-driven, self-aware team member who demonstrates humility while building and extending trust
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in technology, from an accredited college/university; advanced degree preferred
- 4 - 6 years of proven experience as a technical program manager working with product development teams on building and implementing SaaS solutions and/or in an operations role supporting an engineering organization.
- Proven success in managing increasingly complex, cross-functional programs over time
- Solid track record of managing parallel projects/programs
- Experience managing a cross-functional project team of 15+ people
- PMP certification is a plus
