Our programs and services are available to senior residents and community members. This is a unique opportunity for you to assist us in developing our wellness programs for seniors as they reengage in healthy, active lifestyles.
**Hours of Work Location**
Monday to Friday On-site only
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
**How to Apply**
**Job Summary**:
Assisting with planning, implementing and evaluating wellness and social programs for older adults in Bracondale House and in the community.
**Supervision Hours**
Supervised by Program Supervisor 35 hours per week and Program Director
**Responsibilities**
**General**
- Assist with day-to-day coordination, implementation, troubleshooting and evaluation of programs
- Advertising, promotion, and publication
- Maintain and update our social media accounts, communications and website
**Specific**
**1. Program Planning & Implementation**:
- Assist with program monitoring, development, and maintenance of statistical databases
- Set up and dismantle equipment and supplies for classes, programs, and refreshment area
- Assist in collection and processing of program fees
- Administrative support for staff, clients and public
- Provide backup assistance with congregate dining meal provision
- Assist with Friendly Visiting and Telephone Assurance program
**2. Advertising, Promotion & Publication**:
- Creation, production and distribution of all publications and promotional materials
- Assist in developing outreach strategies to increase participation and promote our program portfolio in key neighbourhood targets
- Assist with planning and implementation of off-site promotional presentations in our community
**3. Maintain and update our social media accounts, web communications and website**
- Maintain and update website information using multimedia formats
- Manage and maintain social media accounts (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Software maintenance, updates, troubleshooting and purchases for staff
**Qualifications/Skills**
- University or college level graduate with excellent writing skills
- 2-3 years experience in gerontology, activation/recreational program coordination in a non-for-profit environment is an asset
- Experience in website, social media development and management
- Experience working with seniors is beneficial
- Goal-oriented person with excellent oral communication and organizational skills
- Graphic design experience is an asset
- Proficiency with computer software (i.e., Word, Excel, Publisher, Photoshop, Canva)
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team and manage multiple priorities

**Salary**: $39,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
