Fire the Imagination is looking for a Social Media and Digital Content Specialist to manage our social media platforms. The goal of this project is to transform these platforms into thriving lead generation channels, engage potential future customers and foster strong relationships with existing customers. Our current Instagram account has 3260 followers. We are looking for someone passionate about children’s products who can increase user engagement on Instagram, and maintain other social media accounts including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Since you will be in charge of our social media and marketing, you will have many options to brainstorm, explore, implement and test different strategies and projects. As such, you should be someone who is constantly thinking of ways to improve or create processes and exciting ideas to better our social media presence. The contract is 6 months with potential to move to a full-time position based on performance. Hours of work can be flexible during the week M - F 9 am to 4 pm. **Who are we?** Fire the Imagination is a family owned company whose goal is to provide toys, games, books and more to entertain and inspire families. Our biggest category is education and gift, with a focus on open-ended, imaginative play. **What is the Product?** We are the Canadian distributors for products from around the world, including Germany, Spain, and more We would like to leverage our social media platforms to connect with customers and create security and recognition for our brands and Fire the Imagination as the supplier. **What is the Target industry?** (1) Retailers who own stores that sell gifts and educational resources and (2) customers who purchase from these retailers. **Reports to?** This position reports to the owner. **Responsibilities** - Design, develop and execute social media strategies. - Manage the corporate social media accounts such as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook etc. - Create graphics for social media, website, documents, presentations etc. - Conceptualize, design, and execute creative solutions for business website on Shopify - Increase engagement and follower base - Oversee the creation of shareable content (including written, images, and short video content) - Contribute to the development of online marketing strategies through the experimentation and testing of different ways to increase engagement and brand awareness - Manage the comments, customer inquiries, and sales leads, to foster positive online engagement - Develop and execute on content deployment plans, including social media content calendar and blog schedule - Execute the social media strategy using audience research, bench marking, and audience targeting - Responsible for the planning, maintenance, and coordination of our website - Measure and generate reports on the results of social media campaigns and promotions **Professional Skills & Qualifications** - Post-Secondary degree in Marketing, Online Communications, Business or related field - Strong social media strategy and execution background - Solid understanding of the social media landscape and digital marketing with demonstrated experience in social content planning and implementation, writing, analytics, and reporting, and providing support on social-specific strategic recommendations. - Graphic design knowledge and understanding to manage business website and create videos, etc. - Excellent writing and proof-reading skills with ability to write highly engaging content - A thorough understanding of digital marketing trends - Assets: - Knowledgeable in analytics tools (i.e. Google analytics) - Bilingual French/English **Expectations and Potential Projects** - Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner at all times - Stay up-to-date on current industry trends - Be active daily on social media - Ensure consistency across all platforms - Brainstorm and create interesting, relevant and visually appealing posts while ensuring fair representation of all brands - Use SEO to maximize influence and reach - Research and implement product giveaways and reviews - Connect interested customers to nearby retailers - Liaison between office and retailers for images - New product notifications/features for customers - Newsletters and blogs - Build a meaningful connection with followers and retailers - Create videos or do Instagram/Facebook live product demos/"unboxing" videos (read: play with different toys and games, build new products and have fun) - Monitor and report on conversations regarding products and brands we supply - Create interactive stories and posts - Design and implement virtual events through social media (e.g. Q&A sessions, social media contests, etc.) **You are...** - An independent problem solver - Passionate about social media, and children's products - An animated speaker - An excellent multi-tasker with strong organizational skills - A strong communicator (both written and oral) - Detail o
