**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight over long distances, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle service, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as necessary.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 Alberta Driver's License.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus for maintaining truck functionality.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; we value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
