Machine Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a CNC machine operator to join our team at BEX Engineering. This an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a team of highly skilled individuals. The machine maintenance technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks on a diverse and varied selection of machinery. This individual is also responsible for repairing machines as needed. We are seeking an individual who enjoys hands-on work and correcting problems through troubleshooting. BEX Engineering is a family owned/operated company, has been in business for over 60 years, and is recognized internationally as a leader in Spray Nozzle manufacturing. _**This is a temporary 3-month contract, not a permanent position.**_

**Requirements**:

- Relevant hands-on experience or education in repairing machinery or industrial equipment.
- Experience with mills, lathes and welding is an asset.
- Certification as a Millwright or other recognized trade, either complete or partial, is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Can receive and follow detailed instructions.
- Recognizes the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect, troubleshoot and examine machinery/equipment when called upon to detect problems, make adjustments, replace defective parts and investigate malfunctions as needed to repair and get back online.
- Operate mills/lathes and other small machines to fabricate/restore parts required for overhaul, repair or maintenance of defective parts for all equipment.
- Ensure all PM’s in the maintenance program are complete on a weekly basis.
- Cleaning, lubricating & performing routine maintenance work on machinery as outlined on PM checklists.
- Confirm safety switches/devices are operating properly on completed repairs, PMs & installations.
- Maintaining of company provided tools / tool box trolley.
- Keep detailed, accurate maintenance reports, PM checklists & documents on machines.
- Read electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drawings/schematics to aid in troubleshooting.
- Fabricate any required pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems for equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment at all times.
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, lockout procedures, regulations and compliance.
- Performing other related duties as required.

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
