**Exciting Opportunity: Join Us as a Materials Technician**

Are you passionate about ensuring quality in road construction? We are seeking a dedicated Materials Technician to play a vital role in our team In this position, you will test and inspect a variety of road construction materials—such as concrete and asphalt aggregates—as well as granular base courses. Your keen eye will determine if these materials meet or exceed our high standards and customer specifications, ensuring top-notch quality control throughout our civil construction projects. You will collaborate closely with the Quality Control Supervisor and, when needed, the Quality Control Manager. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Collect and prepare aggregate or asphalt samples, conducting tests in line with our quality control system.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data control throughout testing processes.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of all testing equipment.
- Uphold the Code of Ethics by demonstrating integrity and professionalism in all activities.
- Foster a culture of safety by adhering to safety policies and regulations while actively promoting safety awareness.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the team and projects.

**Work Environment**:

- Full time seasonal role (minimum 32 hours a week)
- Overtime and weekend work is required
- Overtime after 8 hours per day and after 44 hours per week.
- Double time on Sunday.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in sampling aggregates from belts or stockpiles.
- Familiarity with sampling asphalt from truck boxes.
- Knowledge of sieve analysis and crush count methods.
- Willingness to learn; all necessary training will be provided, and no prior materials knowledge is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms).

**Experience/Education**:

- High School Diploma is required; a background in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license is mandatory.
