**What you’ll do**:
Responsibilities for this position include the following:

- Assist with daily operations and management of the liquor store and team members
- Assumes control of store operations and team management in the absence of the store manager
- Provide leadership, direction, and model positive behaviour.
- Assist in building highly motivated teams that adhere to all company policies, procedures, and overall expectations
- Assist in the receiving process, validating product, and data entry
- Assist in ongoing training, development, performance management, and coaching for all team members
- Support the store manager in completing store audits, inventory validation, and inventory management
- Actively involved in planning, executing, and managing merchandising and marketing initiatives in store
- Actively involved in maintaining aesthetics, general store maintenance, and cleaning regiments
- Models professionalism and the ability to manage customer inquires and complaints
- Adheres and drives safe working habits for all team members
- Assist in creating weekly schedules in accordance with labour budgets and needs of the store
- Assists in daily cash reconciliation

**What we’re looking for**:
A **legal-aged (19 years of age or older) individual** that is **Serving It Right certified** and:

- Has previous experience in leading teams in a busy retail environment
- Has effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills, self-motivated, and ability to work in a busy environment
- Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers, vendors, and guests
- Is proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel. Demonstrates a strong understanding of computer literacy and operating systems
- Enjoys working with the public, is approachable and engaging
- Has flexibility to work a variety of shifts, and can adapt their schedule to provide coverage in the store manager’s absence
- Works cooperatively with supporting departments, takes initiative, and works well with limited direction or supervision
- Promotes a fun, engaging environment for both team members and guests
