- Southbridge Care Homes are currently looking to add one a caring, passionate, and enthusiastic _**_Temporary _**_Therapeutic Recreation _**_at our Thunder bay, ON location to our amazing home family, who can serve our lovely residents, to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. On a daily basis our Director of Care will enhance the effective management keeping with the standards and expectations set out by governing bodies and internal policies and standards of care. - _ Assist with the therapeutic and diversion program development, planning and handling documentation by collaborating with various departments._
- _ Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, assist fund raising programs and handle public relation factors._
- _ Deliver excellent customer service by meeting the needs of our clients, residents, families, and external stakeholders. _
- _Participate in annual financial budget (program budget) procedure and assist in human resources operations related to recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, and payroll operations._
- _ Monitor services, operations and implement required process improvement strategies to ensure the best quality delivery. _
- _Manage the occupational health and safety procedures for employees (Workers, volunteers, and contractors) making sure clear communication channels and record management, ensuring company policy as well as government policies._
- _ Act as a key contact for all the staff for RAI and MDS completion, demonstrate leadership and data management practices._
- _ Handle confidential information related to the home and employees operations and ensure safety procedures are kept at the priority for the safety of our staff members and residents._
- _ Other duties as required._
- _ Post-secondary degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or other related field from the university or community college._
- _ At least two years of experience in the same roles, preferably in the long-term care sector._
- _ At least one year of leadership experience required._
- _ Working knowledge of Human Resources Management, Finance Operations and Project Management can be considered as an asset._
- _ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. _
- _Proficiency with Microsoft Products (Outlook, Powerpoint and Word) required. _
