**Position Details**:
**What You Will Do**
- Review of Mitchell estimate and total loss package, confirmation of total loss status, quantifying vehicle valuation information, completing lien searches and confirming registered ownership.
- Negotiate the settlement of automobile and third party property damage claims, assuming full responsibility of the settlement process once liability has been determined.
- Once settlement has been reached, assign total loss documents as necessary and issue payment of settlement.
- Other duties include coordinating, consulting, negotiating and collaborating with appraisers, third party claimants, adjusters and vendors.
- Confirm liability, salvage and subrogation exposure and potential, review and analyze losses to ensure file meets guideline criteria and determine proper kind of loss and maintain adequate reserves based on exposure and authority level.
- Ensure a Member-centric approach is taken when progressing a claim file to an expedient resolution, while following file management techniques to meet/exceed key performance indicators.

**What You Have**
- 1-5 years prior APD claims handling experience coupled with 2-3 years customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Excellent organizational skills
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience reading Mitchell estimates and total loss reports
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work remotely, independently and unsupervised
- The Total Loss adjuster will handle total loss settlement up to the subrogation standpoint
