We are looking for experienced camp and child care professionals that wish to make a positive impact in the community. You are aligned with our values and are driven with purpose. Please include a recent Criminal Record Check if you have one. A CRC is required.

Summer camp guides lead either the kids camp (ages 6-9) or youth camp (ages 10-12) at one of our Tri-Cities Camps. A reliable car is recommended. Shifts are usually 8 hours between 8 am - 6 pm Monday-Friday.

The position will include, but is not limited to:

- Ensuring everyone's wellness, safety, and engagement
- Collaborating with other Camp Staff and Volunteers
- Developing a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all
- Leading games and activities
- Ensuring safety in and out of the water
- Anticipating potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them

Full time
- 35-40 hours per week from June 27-Aug. 29. (Optional: March 17-28)

The position will generally be outdoors, is very active, and requires a lot of patience. As this job is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs, staff need to be between 18-30 years old and Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Adventure Play Care Society is a non-profit that operates Rainforest Adventure Camps for kids and youth. These camps are outdoors in and around the Tri-cities, exploring some of the most beautiful forests, lakes, beaches, and rivers in the area. Our camps seek to further develop participants' independence, leadership, empathy, resilience, and social growth in a fun, safe, and peaceful setting. Our programs are child-centred. Our mission is to inspire, empower, and create community.

Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: $20.00 per hour
