Modern Construction (1983) Limited has been in business for 79 years and is a general contractor in construction, mining, transportation and explosives distribution. Over the years, Modern has built hundreds of miles of highways, numerous traffic interchanges, concrete substructures, dams, causeways, bridges, wharves, breakwaters and airport runways. We operate the two largest commercial quarries in the Greater Moncton Area, manufacture and sell explosives and operate one of the area’s largest asphalt plants.

Positions available within our Asphalt division:

- Asphalt Spreader Operator
- Asphalt Roller Operator
- Asphalt Laborer

Responsibilities varies according to which position you are interested in. Here are some examples:

- Operate heavy equipment such as Spreader and Rollers to lay asphalt efficiently.
- Prepare and clean surfaces prior to paving to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate paving projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

- Experience in construction particularly in asphalt work.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in construction sites.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with crew members.

Pay is to be discussed upon interview.

Contract length: 9 months
